Forever

Memories can be such painful things but from all pain beauty can be found, at least that is what I keep telling myself. Though I have done art pieces and photo manipulations that took days upon days to create and even ones that I wept while creating, none that I have made has affected me like this one has. This one was very painful to do but it was one of those things in life that come along that we know we must finish.

I was trying to place some part of my life behind me, usually to do that I find various music to listen to and just set it on repeat till I feel better. I had forgotten that in my music files I had a mislabeled song. Thinking it was a song that I might find hope in, when it began I knew within the first few notes that it was not the song I was thinking it was. Yet I could not turn it off. The song dredged up many pains and memories in my mind that I wish could be washed away like the waves away the sands each tide.

To bad in life things are not that simple. Pains we wish would just fade away seem to come back like a reoccurring storm, catching us off guard at the worst times and leaving us curled up, holding ourselves and weeping like the rain. This piece depicts that in the best way I know how to show it. The only thing that is truly out of place is the sun beams, guess it is my way of wishing the storm would just clear away to a brighter tomorrow.

Take what you will of this piece, though I hope no one can relate I hope you can understand the meaning behind it. Those that have said it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved before have themselves never loved.
